Szczykulski Wins Back to Back Club Singles Championships

In the Men’s Final defending Champion Mick Szczykulski started brightly against first timer finalist Brad Anderson winning 3 of the first four ends to jump to a 6 shot to 1 shot lead however a four to Brad on the 5^th end closed the gap to a single shot. Mick then steadied to win 5 of the next 6 ends scoring a further 12 shots whilst Brad could only win 2 ends adding a further 3 shots to find himself trailing by 10 shots at the 12^th end 18 to 8. The next six ends saw Brad mount somewhat of a comeback winning 4 of them and adding a further 9 shots whilst Mick could only add four singles to see his lead cut to just 3 shots 20 to 17. That was to be the closest Brad would get winning just 2 of the final 7 ends scoring 3 shots whilst Mick showed why he was the defending Champion winning whilst scoring singles on winning 5 ends it was enough for him to get over the line and retain his Club Champion title 25 to 20 after 25 hard fought ends.
